The Miami Dolphins were established in 1966 by attorney Joe Robbie and actor Danny Thomas.  The team experienced great success in the early 1970s under head coach Don Shula and has the NFLs only perfect season from the season opener through the Super Bowl in 1972.

The Dolphins have won five Conference Championships and two Super Bowls.  The Dolphins played at the Miami Orange Bowl before moving to what is now Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. 

Miami looks to establish its dominance from the 70s under new head coach Joe Philbin.  Philbin, the former offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, got the team off to a positive start in 2014 and hopes to continue the winning ways for the remainder of the season.
