The Sacramento Kings are in their third season at the Golden 1 Center and we had a chance to check things out.  Being in the heart of Sacramento is a welcomed change to the former Arco Arena (Sleeptrain).  While parking is not quite as abundent, there is plenty of parking within a few blocks of the arena.  With parking as high as $50, we were able to find ample parking within minutes of the arena at $10.  Be sure to look online to book the cheapest parking.

Entering the arena is a unique experience.  Entering from the north, there are no obstructions as you view the court from the 126/101 sections of the arena.  All concessions are located towards the corners lending to one of the best views we've ever seen walking into an arena. The concourse area is ample and the gate area was effecient with full bag inspections and metal detectors.

We were not particularly impressed with the quality of the concessions.  With the usual array of stadium food, we opted for a burger at Cafe Bernardo which was probably the most disappointing part of the evening.  Don't plan on having a really great burger if you've been to one of the other three Bernardo locations.  The "grass fed" burger was small and unappetizing.  The cheeze wasn't melted and the hockey-puck-sized patty was grossly inadequate.  As a general rule, if you're going to charge $13 for a lousy burger, charge $16 and make it good.  The fries were quite good.

Other concessions include Big Cheese Dog House, Star Ginger (Asian Fusion), Centro Coocina Mexicana, Porchetta House, and Paragary's.
